Houses : What we wish for.

joshua and i have been browsing the internet as of late and have come across some beautiful houses in which we hope to live in one like, one day -if we're that lucky of course.
we'd thought we'd share the house we are lusting over at the moment.  though our tastes seem to differ so joshua and i will have a few arguments along the way :)!

Myself, i love vintage things. i like the history it adds to the house and how the world has changed in its many years of development. i like the white walls that are filled with an array of dark photo frames, framing pressed glowers. The candle sticks on the grand fire places, the couches that could hardly seat many people but you only want cause they look wonderful. Yes, i want that in my house. I want the wooden floor boards with a pattern rug placed on top, the floral pillows, the tainted gold painted tinkle along the shelving.
Even if i had one room in my house like this, i'd be in heaven; my little sanctuary.
joshua however has a different taste to me therefore doesn't wish for our house to have this victorian feel to it :( i have to convince him otherwise it seems, even if it's just one little room haha. i guess i should try and compromise but i know he'll never go for any of these old aged houses :(

Joshua however likes the whole modern thing and when i say modern i really mean modern. He likes big porches, big windows, laminate flooring and a pool out back. He is Mr luxury it seems and thats where we differ. though opposites attract right? he wants the big garden with proper green lawn, a massive garage to fit in his massive jeep ( that he thinks he'd going to drive of course ), a massive play room for summer, a hot tub and a balcony. Yes, he is living in a rich mans dream.

What we've both agreed on though is that a big house is a better house; we want a little play room for summer, where she can store her toys and if needed to get away from us as she got older and more independent, she had that place to go. In a fantasy world a pool would be great but in reality it's not on the " i need this in my house " list.  We want a big garden for summer and the dogs to play in, with green grass and blossom trees. We both want white everything so we can come along and add touches of colour wherever we wish; a blank canvas is a great way to start.

and as for my baby girls room, it's not a hard decision as i've pretty much dreamed of what room i'd love to give her:

Pink everything with added floral patterns here and there. i love how spacious this room is and the colours are just to die for. i dress summer in a lot of pink and i know it'll probably end up being her favorite colour as little girls love pink, right? i love the white furniture, though i know, i know where a baby is around white is probably not the best colour but in this case, it is haha. it's such a bright, happy room in which i'd love for summer to have.

& that is what we wish for and though that may not come true now; if ever - but there is no harm in dreaming right?

Ellana, Josh and a napping Summer too!
